Kiltealy School

Many thanks to Ms. Kehoe and her Active Committee for all their work running another enjoyable Active Week. The week was closed off with our Annual Sports Day last Monday which is always a highlight of the school year. There was great team spirit shown by all. Well done to all our team captains from 6th Class, in particular Jodi Brennan and Fionn Waters who achieved the coveted award of “Top Captains” on the day for the encouragement, support and kindness they exhibited as team leaders.

SSE-Wellbeing-Amber Flag achievement

Congratulations to Ms. Dowling, Ms. Bible and our Wellbeing Committee who have done a huge amount of work throughout the year in the area of Wellbeing. They ran a very enjoyable week of activities during Wellbeing Week in May. Wellbeing Co-ordinator Aine Dowling submitted a successful application for the Amber Flag, an initiative run by Pieta House acknowledging the promotion of Wellbeing and Mental Health in schools. A requirement of the Amber Flag Application was to hold a fundraiser-our committee decided to hold a crazy hair/favourite t-shirt day and raised a sum of €110 for Pieta House. Well done to all involved. We will continue with Wellbeing as our SSE focus into the next school year.

Well done to all of the boys and girls who had full attendance for the month of May. All were entered into a draw. Please see the winners below. Congratulations!!!

Congratulations to our athletes who were very successful at the Co. Wexford Sports Day in Enniscorthy last month. The school had great success on the day with a number of medals won. Many thanks to Sean Crotty for looking after our athletes on the day and Ms. Bible who was an official.
