Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2024

The Christmas Shoebox Appeal is an annual campaign that sends gift filled shoeboxes from Ireland to children affected by poverty across Africa and Eastern Europe. Transition Year pupils from the FCJ recently visited the school to discuss the appeal with our pupils and leaflets with details have been sent home.

Anyone who wishes to support the appeal can bring in their filled shoebox the first week after the midterm break, beginning  Monday, 4th November. Our school has a long standing tradition supporting this appeal and we hope to see many shoeboxes arriving in after the midterm.

Pupils of Kiltealy N.S. filled close to 80 shoeboxes for the Team Hope Christmas Appeal this year. Many thanks to all families and members of the community who contributed to the collection.

Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2016

The Transition Year Students from The FCJ were in the school last Friday to launch this years Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal. Kiltealy N.S has a long tradition of supporting this cause and we are sure that this year will be as successful a collection as previous years.

The children watched a short video which showed some less fortunate children receiving their shoeboxes last Christmas. It was lovely to see the expression of pure delight on the faces of all the children and this made us all realise just how fortunate we are.

All pupils have now received their information leaflets which will give them and their parents all the information they need to get involved.

Shoeboxes will be collected the week after the mid-term break.

Christmas Shoebox Excitement 2015!!!

This week four pupils from the FCJ, visited Kiltealy School to collect gift filled shoeboxes for children in need. This shoebox is a treasure to these children as it may well be their only gift this year.

It was nice to welcome back the 4 past pupils of Kiltealy School, who volunteered their help for this worthy cause.
