Engineer’s Week 2024
Engineer’s Week was celebrated from the 2nd – 8th of March. All the children in Kiltealy NS worked really hard this week building and creating a variety of projects. Well done to everyone who took part. Here are some of their amazing creations.
All Classes really enjoyed having the bricks for kids team in our school. The children and teachers enjoyed building Lego models.
Third and Fourth Classes had great fun planting vegetables in our school garden. We planted peas,potatoes, onions, lettuce, carrots and parsnips. Thank you to Mr. Hanrahan for teaching us how to sow the vegetables. We have lots of volunteers to go and water the vegetables every day!!!
Bricks 4 Kids is coming to Kiltealy N.S. on Friday 29th April.
Bricks for kids workshops uses lego bricks that kids love to deliver hands on lessons correlated to cross- disciplinary curriculum objectives.
The Bricks 4 Kids approach to learning is imaginative, multi-sensory and fun!!!!

All classes had great fun for science week. We took part in lots of experiments and fun science lessons.
3rd and 4th Class made paper air-planes and had a throwing contest!!
We took part in experiments on how to grow mould and had great fun with balloons and static electricity!

First and Second class made salt crystals, planted daffodils, made panpipes, made shaving foam prints and went on a nature walk searching for signs of Spring!
We made prints using shaving foam and paint!

We planted daffodil bulbs and watched them grow!
